The Independent Forum for Watchmakers and Clockmakers

Thank you for your interest in the Horology-Matters Forum, currently hosted on groups.io

Horology Matters is the largest online community for professional and semi-professional watchmakers and clockmakers. The purpose of Horology-Matters is to improve the overall level of skill and professionalism of all watchmakers and clockmakers by sharing knowledge, experience and best practices, and by providing a convenient channel of communication for members of the horological community to discuss all matters pertaining to the trade.

Use Horology-Matters to ask a technical question, offer a solution, search for that hard-to-find part, make valuable business contacts, participate in wide-ranging discussions of industry policies and trends, or just make new horological friends. Members buy, sell and trade watch and clock related items on our "Flea-Market Fridays" and receive special promotions and discounts from horological merchants as part of our "Merchant Monday" program.

Participation in Horology-Matters is open to any professional or semi-professional watchmaker or clockmaker. If you are serious about watch and/or clock repair (whether an expert or just getting started) you are welcome to join Horology-Matters, but it is not primarily a collectors or hobbyists group. You do not need to be a member of any professional trade group and there is no cost to participate!

Horology-Matters is an independent, privately-operated forum, and is not affiliated with any trade organization. It is owned and administered by watchmaker-volunteers for the benefit of the worldwide horological community.
